These terms apply to the ChaosDesk referral program. They add to the Terms of Service; where they differ, these terms apply to the referral program only. This is a draft awaiting legal review.
How it works
- Every ChaosDesk workspace has a personal referral link, shown to its admins under Admin Center > Plan and billing.
- A company that signs up for a new workspace through your link becomes your referral.
- When the referred workspace pays its first invoice for a paid plan, you earn a reward.
- The reward is one month of your own subscription: the monthly price of your plan and seats at that time (after any discount, before tax), credited to your account balance with our payment provider. The credit pays your next invoice or invoices. If the referred workspace’s first invoice is smaller, the credit is that invoice’s amount.
- If your workspace does not pay for a plan yet, the reward waits and is credited after your first paid invoice.
Limits
- At most 12 rewards per workspace in any 365 days. Further referrals are welcome but earn no reward.
- At most 10 new referrals per workspace per day are counted.
- Rewards are not paid in cash, cannot be transferred and have no value outside ChaosDesk.
- A referral counts only for a new workspace that signed up through your link. It cannot be added later.
- Invoiced contracts (Enterprise, partners and resellers) are not part of the program unless agreed in writing.
What does not count
We do not reward, and may reject or reverse, referrals that:
- refer your own company or organisation, including a workspace created by you or your colleagues (for example with the same company email domain);
- come from several signups from the same network within 30 days;
- use your link in paid search ads on the ChaosDesk name, spam, misleading claims or in any way that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy;
- belong to a workspace whose first payment is refunded, charged back or disputed.
We review referrals for abuse and may reject a referral before it is rewarded. Where a rewarded referral turns out to break these terms, we may remove the credit from your balance.
Changes and ending
We may change or end the program with 30 days’ notice on this page. Rewards earned before a change or the end are still credited.
